  • The claim does not reflect the truth.
  • This episode of The Simpsons has nothing to do with the Epstein case.
  • In the episode, Stephen Hawking makes a surprise visit during the town meeting. A riot breaks out in the town during his visit, and he rescues Lisa, one of the characters in the series, from a collapsing structure, taking her to her family.

Claim Spread

The most talked-about topic of recent days has been the public disclosure of some of the case documents related to the trial of American billionaire Jeffrey Epstein, who was found dead in his prison cell on August 10, 2019, while he was on trial in the USA on charges of sexual abuse of girls, pedophilia and creating a prostitution network.

Many famous names have been mentioned in the court documents announced so far. It is claimed that Stephen Hawking, who stands out as one of the most interesting names among the documents made public, was also a guest on Epstein’s private island. Also among the allegations is a 2015 email to Epstein’s ex-girlfriend Ghislaine Maxwell, stating that scientist Hawking was involved in sexual abuse with underage girls on Epstein’s private island.

Following the dissemination of the file, speculations started circulating on social media, suggesting that the incident had been depicted in advance on The Simpsons series, as often seen after various events.

In the shared video, the character, apparently played by Stephan Hawking, is seen taking Lisa, the middle child of the Simpson family, somewhere.

So, could the Simpsons have known in advance that Hawking was going to Epstein’s island?

As Doğrula, we reviewed these posts.

Evidence

To verify the claim, we initiate research on the pertinent episode of the Simpson series. Based on the screenshot results, it becomes apparent that the scenes in question were extracted from the episode titled ‘They Saved Lisa’s Brain,’ which was broadcast on May 9, 1999.

Upon watching the complete episode, it becomes evident that the reality differs from what is claimed.

In this episode, Lisa is invited to Springfield’s high IQ community called MENSA. Subsequently, after the group is kicked out of the meeting place by the police and the surrounding people, they go to the president to complain, but the president runs away from town. Afterwards, the management is left to highly intelligent people, including the character Lisa, as it is stated in the charter. However, the town owners do not like the new rules introduced by the group while they are giving a speech, and a riot breaks out. Meanwhile, famous physicist Stephan Hawking enters the episode and gives his ideas. Lisa, who was caught in the middle of the riot that broke out later, asks Hawking for help, and Hawking saves her with his chair and drives her away. Here, Lisa’s family can be seen coming to the stage.

Episode does not implicate Hawking in Epstein case.

Therefore, the famous Physicist Stephen Hawking does not kidnap Lisa, the girl character of the series, but saves her from the riot in the town, and they go to her family.

In other words, the episode does not show any connection between Hawking and the Epstein Island case.

Consequently, the specific episode from ‘The Simpsons’ series is unrelated to the Epstein case involving Stephen Hawking. As Dogrula, we have previously scrutinized claims suggesting that ‘The Simpsons’ had foreknowledge of such events, frequently arising immediately after real-life incidents and came to the conclusion that they did not reflect the truth.
